HARVARD STEAM

STEM to STEAM

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, ARTS, and math. Originating from the educational acronym, STEM, the elements of arts is included to foster a culture of creative and interdisciplinary learning. The university level STEAM initiative began at the Rhode Island School of Design, and has since been spreading to many universities.

Since 2015, Jess Paik, started the Harvard STEAM organization as a Harvard Graduate School of Education student. Paik marshaled a team of education students and spearheaded three main projects throughout the 2015-2016 academic year.
